Privacy Policy
Ongil ("we", "us") operates the mobile game Monster Boarding House (the "Service"). We respect your privacy and have established this Privacy Policy in accordance with applicable laws.
The Service has no sign-up or account of its own, and we do not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address or phone number. We do not use analytics tools, and the game does not send your information to our servers. However, the following information is processed by third-party services to show ads and provide leaderboards.
1. Information processed
Advertising (Google AdMob)
- Advertising identifier: the iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) — only if you allow app tracking
- Device and app information: device model, OS version, app version, language and country (approximate region), IP address and other information included in ad requests
- This information is processed by Google to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. We do not store it.
Apple Game Center (iOS, leaderboards)
- When the game starts it asks you to sign in to Game Center (automatically, if you are already signed in). When signed in, the game submits two records to Game Center leaderboards:
- Total rent collected (
me.ongil.monsterboardinghouse.total_rent) - Collection progress (monsters moved in plus color variants unlocked,
me.ongil.monsterboardinghouse.collection)
- Total rent collected (
- Leaderboards show players' Game Center nickname, rank and score as provided by Game Center.
- Your Game Center account and nickname are managed by Apple; we do not store them.
Stored only on your device (game progress)
- Your boarding house state (rooms and furniture, tenants and affection, coins and materials, collection progress, cellar stage), the time you last played (to settle rent earned while you were away), and sound settings
- Game progress is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers or any cloud. We have no access to it.
2. Purposes
- Providing and operating the Service (the game)
- Serving ads and measuring ad performance
- Providing leaderboards
3. Third-party services (processors)
We use the following third-party services, each of which processes information under its own privacy policy.
| Service | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Serving and measuring ads (rewarded and interstitial) |
| Google UMP (User Messaging Platform) | Google LLC | Ad consent |
| Apple Game Center | Apple Inc. | Leaderboards (iOS) |

- Game Center & Privacy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/game-center/
4. Advertising identifiers, consent and personalized ads
We show the following ads through Google AdMob. We do not use banner ads.
- Rewarded ads: you choose to watch them. If you watch to the end you receive a reward such as double battle rewards, continuing a lost battle, doubling the rent collected while you were away, or summoning an intruder right away.
- Interstitial ads: shown only at intervals when you return to the boarding house after a cellar battle (not during your first few battles).
Personalized ads and the use of advertising identifiers happen only with your consent. On iOS the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; in the EEA, the UK and other applicable regions, your choice in the Google UMP consent form applies. Without consent, non-personalized ads are shown.
- To change your choice: iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Declining the use of advertising identifiers does not limit your use of the Service; ads may simply be less relevant to you.
5. Retention and deletion
- Advertising information is retained and deleted under Google's policies.
- Records submitted to Game Center are retained under Apple's policies.
- Game progress stays on your device until you delete the app, and is deleted with it.
6. Children
The Service is not directed primarily at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 (under 13 in the United States and certain other countries). If we learn that such information has been collected, we will delete it without delay.
7. Your rights
- Opt out of ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier (see Section 4)
- Delete game progress: delete the app (deleted data cannot be recovered)
- Stop using Game Center: sign out of Game Center in your device settings. Records already submitted are managed by Apple.
- For any other privacy inquiry or request, contact us below.
8. International transfers
Because of the nature of the third-party services (Google, Apple), information may be processed on servers outside the Republic of Korea. Each provider applies safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Security
We apply reasonable safeguards, including minimizing the information processed, using trusted third-party services and encryption in transit.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy is effective from October 27, 2026. Any additions, deletions or modifications will be announced on this page.
